Our eight core scientific clusters integrate seamlessly to produce a highly coordinated and focused research team. This is vital, because, in order to develop successful therapies for neurodegenerative diseases, we must identify and understand the molecular events occurring.
Our approach is designed to have an immediate impact, as molecular targets that predict risk also facilitate diagnosis, biomarker identification and models in which to identify and test novel therapeutic interventions. Only through the collaborative and compassionate effort of patients, their families, neurologists, neuroscientists and multi-national Pharmaceutical companies, Federal governments, Foundations and philanthropists may we prevent the inexorable decline that patients suffer and can we ‘effect a cure’.
