Though the Centre for Applied Neurogenetics offers cutting edge research in an innovative and integrated collective, none of this research would be possible without the contributions of those directly affected by the neurological conditions that are studied.
The clinical team works on the front line by connecting people to this groundbreaking research. Our objective is to provide the community, at both the local and global level, the opportunity to get directly involved in the goal of understanding these disorders and ultimately finding therapies to stop the advancement of symptoms.
Through collaborations with movement disorder clinics worldwide, national support groups, and with the Movement Disorders Clinic at the University of British Columbia (UBC), the clinical team facilitates the research involvement of thousands of generous participants. It is only with the help of the public that we will be able to reach our goal of halting disease progression.
